Lekk is freelance photographer from New Zealand currently residing in Melbourne. They specialise in portraiture and fashion editorial photography and shooting on film. To accompany the rawness of analogue photography and a feminist attitude to the white-washing and unrealistic beauty expectations of the fashion industry they tend to opt for street cast faces over agency represented models. Lekk is a passionate supporter of slow fashion and encouraging locally made fashion.
Their work has been featured on online publications such as Teeth Magazine, Sticks and Stones Agency, Shuttle Mag, Foolish Zine, The Weird Kids Mag, Sukeban, Fizzy Mag, and Accidental Discharge, in addition to cover images and spreads in print magazines Salient and You. And Me Both Magazine. They have shot look books, editorials and events for brands such as Local Girl Gang, Harriet Doran, Underground Sundae, Psyklz Clubsport, Self Perform, Sweet With It, Hutheman Clothing, Sacreflux, Lilith Lingerie and No Fun Babe. Recently they received an Aotearoa Student Press Association award of Best Original Photography for their series Itchy.
